Kevin and Robin love to hear Grandpa’s folklore from China. Grandpa tells them a story called The Hidden Treasure, about a poor, old man abandoned by his three sons and their wives. Soon, the sons and their wives are fighting over possession of the dying old man - and his “hidden treasure.”

Summary: Little Joy is a happy baby. She smiles a lot. But her Mommy notices that, unlike other babies her age, Little Joy has not yet learned to laugh out loud.

This book is for very young children. The story uses limited words, simple sentence structure and repeated sentences to encourage language acquisition. Its charming illustrations of a Caucasian family interacting with their adopted Chinese daughter impart one message: A heart with love has room enough for everyone.
